Dawson was born May 9th 1979. She is an American producer, actress and
director. In 1995 she made her feature film debut by starring in the
independent film Kids. The roles she played in subsequent films include He Got
Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent
(2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds
(2008), Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010),
Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) and
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson has also done voice-over work for
Disney/Marvel and Warner Bros./DC Comics, and ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For
her role in Rent, Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in
a Motion Picture; for her performance in Top Five, she was nominated for the
Critics' Choice Movie Award for the Best Actress in a Comedy. Dawson was born
in New York City on May 9 1979. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, is of Afro-Cuban
and Puerto Rican ancestry. Rosario was just 16 when Isabel was born. Her
mother, Isabel Celeste, never got married to Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's
mother, Greg Dawson, was a construction worker when she was only one year old.
Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson’s half-brother. Dawson
is also well-known for her various characters in comic book adaptations.These
include Gail in Sin City (2005) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire
Temple in five of the series from Marvel/Netflix (2015-2018) as well as acting
as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe and Space Jam: A
New Legacy and Barbara Gordon/Batgirl from The Lego Batman Movie. She portrayed
Ahsoka Tano in the Mandalorian's second season in 2020 , and will play the role
in the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she will reprise her role on
Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy.
