She was born on 1st March, 1981 in Moscow to the parents of director of the fur company Gregory T. and a Russian economist Tatyana Dmitrievna Semenovich. Her illness began when she was a child, and was admitted for six months to the hospital. His diagnosis was as having Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was famous for his skating career alongside Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. Both teams participated in the Junior World Championships, where they placed eighth and seventh each in 1993. The year 1994 saw her briefly collaborated in a brief partnership with Maxim Kachanov. They were fifth at the Goodwill Games. She then was paired with Vladimir Fedorov. Both were successful with the partnership, as they each took home the Finlandia Trophy and participated in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They accomplished more achievements. The highlight however was the 15th-place finish they won in the World Championships of 1998.
