Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. The host of her show is Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook, reveals easy to master methods and her signature spiky blond tresses. Chef Burrell also has worked in several of the city's most prestigious eateries, studied Italian cuisine and its traditions, and took part in Food Network Iron Chef America. When she was growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of cooking and food from an early age. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing difficulties. Also, she's an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador who promotes education about young-onset diabetes. She travels frequently around the country in her role as a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has said, "I feel blessed to be able to share what I love most to others.
